“This piece traverses traditional processes and experimental techniques within the textile realm.

Inspired by the contrasts and contradictions of the outback landscape juxtaposed against the mining industry, this quilt symbolises the harsh lifestyle of shift work and the strong relationships required to survive. I believe as an object of security, a quilt represents attachment like the bond between the newborn to their mother. This idea of an attachment figure guarantees safety and is reinforced by familiar surroundings”

“I have been quietly developing my craft for quilting and patchwork the last 4 years.

While I use a variety of processes in each project, I am committed to exploring and expressing sustainable techniques and concepts to create a functional form of textile”
